My (very specific) Morning Routine

who doesn't love a good morning routine? Well maybe if you aren't a morning person you might not love the mornings, but regardless, starting your morning right is a great way to set yourself up for the rest of the day!




Here are my tips to maximize your mornings, my personal morning routine (on a good day), and my holy grail products to use in the mornings:


How to maximizes your morning routine:


1- Write out your routine in the order you want it done

This will help you stay on track, remember those new habits you want to implement, and keep you accountable. Keep reading to see my specific routine written out.


2- Know when you work best and what you will be able to do efficiently in the mornings

If you are not a morning person, don't try to do all your homework or conference calls In the morning. Know yourself and set yourself up for optimal success.


3- Start slow and wake up in a calm manner, rushing yourself is not healthy or practical.

Start off your day in peace, the rest of the day will have enough stress for you to bear. Grab a cup of coffee, do some skin care, try out a yoga class, or simply read a book to wake up on the right foot.


4- Plan the night before

This goes along with writing out your routine. If you wake up with no plans for the day or no clue what needs to get done you are already a step behind. Every night I always right out my to do list for the next day, I plan out my schedule, and I prepare ahead for what I need to wear or have ready to be on my game.


5- Give yourself plenty of time

If you want to have a peaceful morning AND get everything ready for the day, you have to wake up with enough time to do so. I recommend you set a time to wake up consistently every morning so everyday you have a structure to start off with. I always give myself way more time than I need so I don't end up rushed or stressed before I even leave the house.



My (Very Specific) Morning Routine:


5:30- Wake up

No phone

Open blinds

Read devotional and bible

Stretch

Brain dump one page (write everything I'm thinking of out on one page)


5:40- Bathroom

wash face with water only

skin care routine (blog post to come)

brush teeth


5:45- pets

Let dogs outside (I have a beagle gray hound named Daisy and a Corgi Cattle dog named Jessie)

feed them

5:50- Kitchen

ACV water

Coffee

Breakfast (usually avocado toast or eggs)


6:00- desk

Go over goals and to do lists

Agenda for the day

Emails and text messages

Homework for 20 minutes

Read for 20 minutes

7:40- get ready

change into workout clothes (Set out the night before)

ride stationary bike for 20-30 minutes while watching YouTube videos

shower

Change into clothes for day (Set out the night before)

Hair

Makeup

Pack bags into car


My Holy Grail Morning Essentials:


- The Uncommon life Daily Devotional

- apple cider vinegar (With the mother)

- Sephora basics moisturizer and eye cream

- Colgate Charcoal tooth paste

- Lululemon align leggings in black (makes changing out of my PJS for a workout more bearable)
