Habits of Successful People

We all want the key to success, unfortunately it's a different key for everyone. BUT- We for sure can take pieces from people who have "Created the lives they wanted to live one practice at a time" and apply something to our own lives. Here's a list of specific things people do everyday to build the lives they want to live:






Morning:


- Look over to do list for the day

See the full picture of what needs to get done and decide what is most important.


- Visualize the day

See yourself walking through the day and being the person you need to be that day.


- Start with the things less desirable

Get the things you don't want to do done right away so the rest of your day is more enjoyable.


- Collect thoughts for clarity

Write down all your thoughts so your mind is clear and ready for the day.


- Move and stretch

Kick start your day by moving and getting your blood pumping, this will help with energy and motivation.


- Start with gratitude

Attitude is a huge factor in how your day plays out, start with gratitude to get your mood set up for a good day.


- Hydrate

Hydration is also a huge factor in mood and overall wellness, start your day by drinking a big glass of water.

- Clean up

Clutter and mess will only hinder your productivity and success.


Day:


- Recharge moment

Take a few minutes in the middle of your day to close your eyes, go for a walk, or even take a nap. This moment will recharge you so you can be your best for the rest of the day.


- Pick battles

Don't get held up on the things you cannot change. Pick the battles you want to fight and let go of the others.

- Live in the moment

Don't get too wrapped up in what needs to get done or what's going wrong. Live in the moment.


- Stay organized

Don't allow yourself to get messy or sloppy throughout the day.


- Take responsibility

Don't waste your energy by playing the victim. Take responsibility and move on.


- Learn something new

Read, listen to a podcast, do something to grow and become better.


- Don't make excuses

Again, take responsibility and don't be lazy. Do what needs to be done.


- Self awareness

Keep tabs on how you are doing. If you need to adjust throughout the day, do so.


- Value alone time and time with others

Spending time with others is important. Spending time alone is also important.



Night:


- Make a to do list for tomorrow

Write out what needs to be done tomorrow so you have a clear idea of what to expect.


- Reflect on the day

Look back on the day and see how you can do better for tomorrow. Also don't forget to celebrate what went well during the day.


- Unplug

Sleep is important and in order to sleep well you need to unplug and rest your mind.


- Prepare for the next day

Set out your clothes and lunch for the next day. Set yourself up for a smooth and organized morning.


- Write down thoughts

Dump all your thoughts out to clear your mind and move on from the day.


- Wind down and relax

You can't be on the next level all day everyday, wind down and relax so you can be your best self again tomorrow.
